Where does Knowledge Management (KM) as an academic discipline and an organisational practice stands? What are the achievements and what are the challenges in academia and practice? What is the future of KM? These are some of the questions this keynote will address.
The contribution is based on a global KM Expert study involving a total of 222 practitioners and academics from 38 countries representing 16 different economic sectors and 16 different academic disciplines including KM experts from South Africa. The research was undertaken by a group of 25+ researchers associated to the Global Knowledge Research Network.
